All good things must come to an end

Family photo
Hello everyone.

Sean and his girl <3
I have some bad news. Yes, this will be (probably) my last blog on this site. I can't keep up with everything :) . Unfortunately. So, a quick overlook on the house. We have now lived here in beautiful Vermont for 4  years (and yes, we moved right after the Summer Olympics in London). We are still camping (shall we call it glamping?). The house is not finished! We are working on it. There is something that happened called... life! Sigh! Tom works and I... write. Logan has school and Tasha... well, she's so busy we hardly see her. Unfortunately, we lost our motivator (Sean), when he defected to California. All for a girl! (Come on, really?!?!?!?!) So, we really love that girl too, but that's beside the point! But I joke. He's happy out there in the land of... no snow. We miss him terribly, but that's life.

So, moving on... The house is not finished. We even have to fix some of the things we put up. Earlier this year (waaaay early) one of the big windows in the back cracked! Of course we called up the company, it's under warrantee (right). We still don't have a new window! I guess it's Vermont timing! We just called the company again and they thought they had the wrong number for Tom, so they called him but must have dialed wrong. The window, now missing again, was in at the shop. Now a mad hunt has to be on the way because said crack in the window now has spread throughout.
My bhh and I
I don't want to talk about it!!!!

We have power (generator) and I am happy to say... I used my oven. A few times!!! IT WORKS like a charm!!!! And... we bought a fridge. Ohhh, I can't tell you how wonderful it is not to have to go into town to shop every stinkin' day. But... my habit of shopping every day has to change. Other than that... we are pretty happy. Really, life has been great for us. Tom's company is really appreciating the work he does and he's often very, very busy. He now does weddings and special events on the weekends (hence, house still not finished). And there is winter! We are learning that Vermonters prepare for winter and snow all year long. We hope that we have enough wood to make it through this year. We should. Right now we have about 9 chord stacked in our shed and another three waiting to be split.

Those are Tasha's hands!!
Her 'magazine' cover
Yes. Life is like, crazy! Tasha is taking an online course on Graphic Design. Yay!!! She's really enjoying it a lot and the stuff she produces is so high quality. She spends all her time on the Internet, downloading her lectures and then she does her magic. She's pretty good at what she does. And of course... who gets to benefit from it in the end? Moi! Of course, because we know it's all about me! Well... moving on... Tasha is very happy with where she's at this point in her life, which is a definite blessing. Last year this time, things didn't look so good for her, but ya know. God had to bring her through it. She's found a new church where she can connect with other young people. She really likes it. She is such a social person, she needs it.

Tom, my hero, my hubby, my bff is doing great. As I said, he still driving buses and his bosses really like him. What's not to like? Right? When he has a moment he does spend it working on the house. Logan helps him whenever he has to (oops!!!) and the two of them spend a lot of time what guys usually do. Playing computer games. Ya know. We moved out into the sticks so we wouldn't have to. But oh well.

Springfield Farmer's Market
Me and 2 of my babies.
Now me. What's going on with me? Snort! What's not going on. I've managed to publish 3 books thanks to my incredible editors and graphic artist. It's been really... intense! Not only did I publish 3 books, I've been having to promote them. And that is the hardest part of this whole thing! Over the summer I've been going to the Farmer's Market here in Springfield. It's been pretty successful. I've also done other venues, which have been mildly successful. But the most important thing is, the books are going out. That's what I'm supposed to do. And I have such a great crew surrounding me from the people who read them to my editor(s) and my family, who are pretty understanding when I'm writing, writing, and going over the edits. They don't even react when I say, "I'm such a lousy writer," anymore. Koodies to them!

So, as you can see. We are busy. Logan (whom I've not mentioned much) still misses his brother. But he's getting more involved with the youth groups. And that's a good thing. We play a game called pickle once or twice a week in town. It's kind of like tennis and volleyball and whiffle ball. We enjoy it a lot. He's still homeschooling. It's still the best route for him. And he's still my first reader of all the stories I write. And he sure knows how to push my buttons. "But Mom. We are at such an exciting part!" Yeah, works like a charm! I think I need to grow some thicker skin. He does love to write too, and he's pretty good at it. He's got an incredible vocabulary. I really hope that he'll use it. For now, he has to finish his story too. I'm sure we will publish it some time.

Newest book
So, that's the news on us. As I said, I can't do this blog and the blog I have for my website for the books. Something has to give. And since this was a blog to keep everyone up to date on how the house was going, well. It's time. To say, Auf Wiedersehn. It's been... so incredibly wonderful to be able to share our journey with you and to tell you what God's been doing in our lives. Because for us, it's really all about that. I've enjoyed hearing from you. Now... this doesn't mean I stop blogging. I'll keep on blogging because it's fun. You can read them on the website I've made for the books

From the Vermont Perreaults. I really hope that God will bless you today and every day. May you be a light onto the world. And check in with me from time to time. I would still love to hear from you.
